Hi..i'm here again. This time, I want to show some nice pictures to u all...These pictures have been taken on last Saturday. Do u all know why I would take those pictures at that time? The story is like this...First of all, at that night I was doing my assignments..Suddenly, I saw the sky was full of the lightning..So, something has come through my mind..It is I want to use my handphone to take those incredible scenes. So, I prepared the handphone and standing near my room's windows. Then, i started counting the time which when will the lightning will come out. Ready....go... Like that, those pictures have been successfully taken by using my handphone. I have tried many times until i get those pictures. It was hard because the lightning was come out without any signal( sound). So, hope u all will enjoy the pictures.

My Expressions on Blogging

Blogging can be said is something new for me which is this is the first time I create a blog by my own self. The main purpose I create this blog is due to the assignment of one subject called IT Skills. Before I create this blog, I felt like doing a blog is a complicated work because need to involve a lot of html codes and put in the blog to make it interesting. But somehow, after this blog have been created, I felt like doing a blog also an interesting work because I can post whatever I like on my blog. So, in this blog, I will briefly introduce u all what is ICT and its application in engineering education.

ICT Application in Engineering Education

Nowadays, ICT seems to be an important factor for a development of a country. This mean that the development of a country is depends on how advance the technology was. Therefore, due to that reason, the ICT application was widely used in engineering education to produce the best in engineering courses for the development of a country. First and foremost, what is ICT mean? The word of ICT stands for Information and Communications Technologies. ICT can be defined as the used to describe the exciting and innovative ways to provide lifelong learners with global access to information, learning and support. It is the information systems that are seamlessly linked to learning support systems, that are enjoyable to use and which enable management.

There are various uses of ICT in engineering education. As we know, the technologies are improving day by day. So, we also need to update us to follow the current trend. For example, in University, most of the lecturers are using the ICT devices such as the laptop and projector in teaching. They used the laptop connect with the projector and print out the contents on laptop screen to the white board so that students can have a better learning way to learn the knowledge. Due to the research, human can easily learn and remember something easily through color, graphic and story. Therefore, through the colorful graphic that print out by ICT devices like projector, students can easily understand and remember the knowledge that taught by their lecturers.

Besides that, one of the subjects called Computer Aided Drafting or (CAD) also an important subject for engineering courses. It is because engineering is something about the machine. So, the skills on how to draft out the design of a machine are very important for engineering students. Therefore, to learn the skills of CAD, there are CAD rooms which are special for students to learn the skills of drafting by using the computer. The interior of CAD room are full with the ICT devices like computers to ensure each student can have their own computer to learn the skills with the software that was installed in the computers.

Furthermore, the understanding to a machine is also important for engineering students. Moreover, before they finish their diploma or degree, they need to attend the industrial training to finish their studies. Because of that, there is one subject called Machining Workshop Practice for students. The main purpose of this subject is to let the students have the knowledge on the parts of the machine, how to operate it, and what can the machine do. Besides that, students can also learn the ways on how to operate the machine by using the ICT equipments such as Lathe machine, Grinding machine, and Milling machine to create the work piece that assigned by their lecturers. As a sentence say, “Practice make perfect”. Therefore, theories and practical are equally important and cannot be neglecting each other.

Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS)

Flexible Manufacturing System is an important system in
Mechatronic Engineeri
ng. This system used in robot system to let the system run smoothly and better than days ago. Flexible Manufacturing System can be clarified as manufacturing system in which some amount of the flexibility to allow the system react in case of changes, can predicted or unpredicted. There are two categories of flexibility. They are the machine flexibility and the routing flexibility.

Machine flexibility has the ability to cover the system’s ability so that it can produce new product types. Besides that, it can also change the operation that executed on a part. Unlike machine flexibility, routing flexibility can use multiple machines to perform the same operation on a part. Furthermore, it can also absorb the changes of large-scale such as the volume, capacity, and the capability.

There are several advantages through the flexible manufacturing system. First of all, the productivity will increase due to the automation. Besides that, the time of preparation for new products will also shorten due to the flexibility. Furthermore, due to the automation, the labour cost can be also saved too. In addition, the quality of products will also improve. Therefore, it seems that the Flexibility Manufacturing System (FMS) has brought a lot of advantages and will be widely use to in the future.
